Just as it is difficult define "beauty" or "wisdom" it is also difficult to define "religion" Oxford Dictionary :belief in the existence of a superhuman controlling power,usually expressed in worship. Religion – comes from the Latin word "religio" meaning "to bind". As religious people we bind ourselves to our God and this connection includes obligations like worshiping God and living a moral life.
5 Reasons to Study the World’s Religions
To gain a better understanding of the world. To gain insight into other human beings by understanding their religious activities. To gain understanding about one’s own religion. To seek those things that are common among the world’s various cultures. To learn from some of the world’s great sources of wisdom.

What attitude is asked of us when studying the world’s religions? Explain. In studying the world’s religions we are asked to cultivate and attitude of empathy. We are asked not to judge other religious traditions but to accept them on their own terms. 7. What makes the class on the world’s religions different from other religion classes? A class on the world’s religions is different from other religion classes in that in every other religion classes we learned about many aspects of the Catholic Christian religion.
